About Us

Where it all began

Welcome to the official website of Ottershaw Junior Football Club. We are a new club, having only become affiliated in August 2022.

We are an inclusive, friendly, community-focused junior club based in Ottershaw, Surrey. The aim of the club is to provide a safe and happy environment for boys and girls to enjoy playing football and make new friends.

While our roots are in Ottershaw CofE Infants & Junior Schools, we welcome any children from the local area who are looking to enjoy playing football.

The safety and enjoyment of the children is paramount to us therefore all our football coaches already have, or are working towards, FA recognised qualifications (L1CCF & above) & have passed the relevant criminal record (DBS) and safeguarding checks. The team and its players are regulated by the Surrey FA.

The feedback from coaches, parents, the community, and most importantly the children from our 1st ever team has been incredibly positive. We are proud of what we have achieved in such a short space of time, and this has generated healthy levels of interest from those in younger age groups, so please watch this space or contact us for more information.

Our Teams

We have currently 3 teams for the 2024-25 season, under 11s, 7s and U6 Otterpups.

We will review potential to expand beyond this as opportunity arises. If you wish to register your child's interest or are interested in becoming a volunteer coach please contact us.

Meet The Committee

Stuart Moore – Chair

Primary teacher with over 8 years’ experience. FA Level 2 coach with over 11 years coaching both children and adults.

Moving from Warwickshire to Surrey after completing his teacher training. Stuart searched for a brand-new footballing endeavour to satisfy his football cravings. From contacting the local FA to searching over social media, he quickly discovered a highly competitive men’s football club who were searching for a qualified coach. Jack (our vice chair) was the Chairman and manager of Ottershaw Football club. After a couple of years - and covid - we decided that there was an incredible opportunity to provide a local junior club; the rest they say is history………

Jack Webb – Founding Member

Sports Science graduate and physiology post grad with 9 years in coaching, sports science and analysis roles. Previously working at AFC Wimbledon, and former manager of the Ottershaw adult side, I am currently head coach at Dial Square FC. From what began as a group of kids having a kick about, it has rapidly developed into an excellently run youth set up; giving a fresh perspective of football different to that of competitive adults that I am used to. Watching the junior players develop and enjoy football in a safe and well-run environment has been a pleasure and I am looking forward to the journey continuing as we continue to progress our current players and recruit new age brackets.

Andy Mackintosh – Vice Chair

Andy started coaching Junior football back in 2005 when he passed his first coaching qualifications.

Driven by his passion for the game, he wanted to get back involved in football after moving to Ottershaw and seeing his son develop so well at Ottershaw JFC.

His son now in the under 11s and  daughter in the under 7s, naturally led him to help manage the under 7 side.

Colin Williams – Vice Chair
Colin has 2 boys who attended Ottershaw infants and junior schools, one of whom currently plays for the club, and has lived in the local area for over 16 years. He is an FA qualified coach, a positive motivator, and popular amongst the team for often acting like a child despite his advancing years!

Vicky Glover – Treasurer

Vicky has lived in Ottershaw for over 16 years and has 3 children, one of whom currently plays for the club. She is an ACA qualified accountant and looks after the money and numbers.

Laura Barton-Wright - Club Secretary

Laura has lived in Ottershaw for 12 years. Her oldest son has been warmly welcomed at the club and has made a whole team of new friends. Laura has a commercial background and sorts out the admin.
